1. About these terms
These Terms of Use cover the TipOffly apps, website and family web console (the "Services"), provided by [Company legal name], CIN [CIN], registered office [registered address] ("TipOffly", "we", "us"). Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data and forms part of these terms.
These terms are an electronic record under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and do not need a physical or digital signature.
2. Who can use TipOffly
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872 to create an account. Children under 18 can use TipOffly only as part of a family group set up by their parent or lawful guardian, who accepts these terms on their behalf.
3. Your account
- You sign in with your mobile number and a one-time code. Keep your phone and code private.
- The information you give us must be accurate and kept up to date.
- You are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us straight away at support@tipoffly.com if you think someone else is using it.
4. Family features and consent
TipOffly is designed for transparent family safety, not secret surveillance.
- You may add a child to your family group only if you are their parent or lawful guardian.
- You may add an adult, including an elderly parent, only with their informed agreement. They can see what is shared and can leave the group at any time.
- You must not use TipOffly to monitor a spouse, partner, employee or any other adult without their knowledge and consent. Doing so breaks these terms and may be an offence under Indian law.
- Guardians see alerts by category. TipOffly does not show the content of anyone's messages, chats or photos.
5. Plans and payments
- TipOffly offers a free plan and paid yearly plans. Paid plans are bought on our website, not in the app. Current prices are shown on our Pricing page, in Indian Rupees and inclusive of GST.
- Free trials, where offered, end on their own. No payment is taken, and when the trial ends you move to the free plan unless you buy a plan on our website. We remind you before the trial ends.
- Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each term. For recurring card or UPI payments, we send a notice at least 24 hours before each charge, as required by the Reserve Bank of India's rules for recurring payments.
- If we change the price of your plan, we will tell you at least [30] days before the renewal that the new price applies to, and you can cancel before then.
- Purchases made through Google Play or the App Store are billed by those stores and are also subject to their terms.
6. Refunds and cancellation
- You can cancel at any time from Settings → Plan in the app, from your account on our website, or by writing to us. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you have paid for, and will not renew.
- If you cancel within [7] days of your first payment for a plan, you can ask for a full refund.
- If a paid feature does not work as described and we cannot fix it within a reasonable time, you can ask for a proportionate refund.
- Approved refunds are paid to the original payment method within [7 to 10] working days. Refunds for store purchases follow the store's own refund process.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use TipOffly to stalk, harass, threaten or unlawfully monitor anyone;
- submit false scam reports or try to get genuine numbers, links or businesses blocked;
- copy, reverse engineer, resell or interfere with the Services, except as the law allows;
- try to access another person's account or data, or break our security;
- use the Services for anything illegal under Indian law.
8. What TipOffly can and can't do
TipOffly helps spot scams, theft and online harm, but no product can catch every scam or prevent every loss. Alerts and risk ratings are produced automatically and may sometimes be wrong, late or missing, and some features depend on your phone's settings, network and operating system.
Always use your own judgement before sharing money or personal information. If you have lost money to fraud, call the National Cyber Crime Helpline 1930 or report at cybercrime.gov.in straight away. TipOffly is a private company and is not part of any government agency, police force, bank or telecom operator.
9. Our content and yours
The TipOffly name, logo, apps, website and content belong to us or our licensors. We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the Services for as long as you follow these terms.
If you report a scam, you give us permission to use the reported number, sender ID or link to protect other users. You keep all rights to your own content.
10. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or other law that cannot be excluded.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses caused by a scam, theft or other act of a third party that TipOffly did not detect. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
You agree to compensate us for losses caused by your breach of these terms or your misuse of the Services, including unlawful monitoring of another person.
11. Suspension and closing your account
You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or the law, or to protect other users, and will tell you why unless the law prevents us. If we close a paid account without good reason, we will refund the unused part of your plan.
We may update these terms. We will tell you in the app before significant changes take effect. If you continue using TipOffly after that, the new terms apply; if you don't agree, you can close your account.
12. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve any problem quickly. If a dispute can't be settled, the courts at [city], India will have jurisdiction, without affecting your right to approach a Consumer Commission under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
